HLUB Conference Information and Date:
What: HLUB'09
Where: Wheaton College, Wheaton, IL
When: July 27 to August 1, 2009
Who: 12 to 18 years of age
How Much: $325.00 per Person, for both HLUB attendees and Chaperon
Deadline: Frideay, June 26th, 2009 (Application postmark)
Need to Know Before You Come
Chaperon: (1 to 10 ratio)
All churches are required to provide chaperon(s) for their group, approved by the church governing board. The main duty of the chaperon is to oversee his/her group, of which they will be in charge of and authorized to look after by their local church.
*The chaperon must be approved by the local church governing board.
*The chaperon must be least 21 years of age or older and is someone who will be
able to work with the HLUB staff (It is preferred that it would be someone married)
*The chaperon will be responsible and accountable for his/her group.
*The chaperon will be the representative of their group to HLUB'09 and its leaders.
*The chaperon is expected to be a mature Christian adult who will provide a
Christ-like example and supervision for his/her group and others.
*Chaperons must also submit an application and pay the conference fee.
Dress Code:
1. Casual clothing will be appropriate for seminars and worship services.
2. Recreational clothing for play time.
Be mindful that clothing should be appropriate for a spiritual environment. All Christians are encouraged to prepare their heart as well as their appearance to worship and glorify Jesus through their lives. The HLUB conference staff reserves the right to ask anyone to change if it deems to be needed.
What to Pack for HLUB'09:
Casual clothing, personal grooming items, towels, T-shirts and shorts,
gym shoes and sandals, spending money and bible.
Blankets, pillows, and linens will be provided by Wheaton College.
Need to Know about our stay at Wheaton College:
*Attendees will be issue "key card" for the residential hall/room they are assigned to
*Any lost "key card" will be charge $25 to the individual
*Any lost "meal card" will be charge $6.00 and $5.00 for unreturned meal card
*Any damage resulting from attendees, will be charge to the individual
*Smoking, firearms, illegal drugs, and alcohol are prohibited on campus.
Security and Safety:
Wheaton College is an open college campus, all CHAPERONS are to be aware of their group at all time, therefore:
*All attendees must not leave campus without permission from HLUB'09 staff
*All attendees must stay within campus boundaries and stay off Restricted Areas
*All attendees must be in their dorm rooms by 11:30pm
*All attendees must have their "key card" and "meal card" with them at all times
